try again

Lets try this whole blog thing again shall we; after all is there not a saying that goes "if at first you fail at blogging, try try again"? No? Okay that's the modified version. Well anyway I don't write in a journal and I have a horrible memory, so I figure I should document my life experiences somehow so as to be able to show my children that my life was somewhat exciting. New things are happening in life and changes have occurred that have been both strengthening and hard at the same time. It will be fun to get to share my adventures and happenings with you. So here's to the future. Cheers.

news

Well. It's been a while. Sorry about that. But I thought I would inform you of something really big happening in my life. I never knew this day would come so soon. Everything seems like a blur and I am incandescently happy. Well here goes...

I'm....going to see my love (Brandon Flowers) rock out with one of my favorite bands ever. The Killers! Ahh. Yes, yes I know he's married and has two children. But I still love him. I love them. I'm excited. Their new album came out yesterday. Sooo good. Anyway. That's basically the most exciting thing happening in my life right now....more to come.

Grandmother.

This is Grandma Hofheins. She is the greatest woman I know, aside from my mother. I have had the opportunity to work for my grandma and therefore see her often. I admire so many things about this woman but there are two things that really stand out. She has an unwavering testimony and loves to share it often, which strengthens me; and she has built her life around service. My grandfather, who has now passed on was very ill the last years of my life; my grandma took care of him with unconditional love and support. Even though she is the ripe age of 87, and she is usually in a lot of pain, she teaches piano to many of the kids in her ward and the best part is that she teaches for no cost but their improvement. She always has a big smile on her face and she genuinely loves life. She is a magnificent example to me, and all those who come in contact with her. She is definitely one of my favorites, and I love her lots.

I'm alive.

It is true. I am alive. I know I have said this so many times, but I am positive that I am the worst blogger the face of the earth. Anyway, this is what has been happening in my life since I last blogged:
  • I am now working at Seagull Book and LOVING it.
  • My first year of college is almost completed, and I am ecstatic.
  • I went to St. George with Clari a couple of weeks ago and it was sooo fun!
  • There is this boy.....and......
  • I was asked to join an Art History podcast with some awesome awesome people. It's been great. I'll post a link to the blog.
  • I've been playing soccer lately, and I love it. I can't even explain how much I miss playing it everyday...
  • I'm really trying to think of exciting things, but I think I've run out.....maybe a few more....
  • I just love Netflix.
  • I've been hiking lately, and it's been oh so great.
  • I really really like my singles ward. Lindon YSA is BOMB.
Okay I have really run out. That about sums it up.

I'm watching the Real v. San Jose game right now, and I sometimes really dislike refs......

Well, I can't promise that I will be posting anytime soon because I'm just so unpredictable, but it's more fun that way right?

Talk to ya'll real soon.

The holidays

I like them. They are grand. Thanksgiving was a success this year. It's always nice to be with family and friends that you love and care about. Next up, Christmas. I love love love Christmas. Mostly I love why we celebrate it. I love my savior, I love what he did for me. I know that he knows me personally, and that he loves me, that is such a comforting thought. I am happy that we get to celebrate his birth, and his life. I am happy that I get to be with family, they are my best friends. They are wonderful. All in all, I just love the holidays. Also, I really really really want to go up to Salt Lake and see the lights, and I good lookin' date would make it even better. Oh, here is what I have of my Christmas playlist. If you have any songs to contribute, they are very welcome.
